Smarden Charter Hall

Charter Hall Fund Raising

Smarden Big Bid on September 7th 2024.

You may already have seen a copy of our recent Charter Hall Update, published in the April Parish Magazine, a summary of which is also set out below.

We are informing residents about our current position, which sets out our plan for returning the Hall to financial viability. We would particularly like to draw your attention to a major fundraising event, The Village Big Bid on 7th September, which is an important event in our recovery plan. We are seeking sponsorship and auction lots from those residents who care about the Hall and its future as a vital part of village life.

Auction lots offered among others, so far include: a holiday home let for a week, an airport run, a tour of a Spitfire and a flying lesson. As loyal supporters of the Charter Hall, we hope that you will also consider contributing in some way to the Big Bid. We would very much welcome hearing over the next few weeks from anyone who is able to offer sponsorship or an auction lot. We hope to that many village residents will come along to the Big Bid on the day itself, where there will be music, refreshments and children’s entertainment.

Please contact any of names below to offer an auction promise or sponsorship. The Big Bid will also donate to Macmillan Cancer Support. Tickets for the event on September 7th will be on sale later.

Thank you for your support. We look forward to hearing from you.
