Situated in the historic and picturesque village of Smarden, often referred to as the prettiest in Kent, the Hall was completed in 2007, built to a high specification with upgrades since then; whilst the attractive Wealden design complements the special nature of Smarden’s conservation area.
Smarden is well served by local hostelries and businesses, with a range of accommodation. The Hall is just three miles from Headcorn, which has a frequent main-line train service to London and taxi service from the station.
Smarden Charter Hall is equipped with outstanding facilities including a fully fitted commercial kitchen; a 5.5 metre x 12 metre Stage, sound and lighting systems, wireless broadband with multiple access points providing coverage throughout the building, conference and presentation equipment (for further details see the Facilities page). The Hall also benefits from landscaped outside lawn areas, security cameras to the main areas, disabled access and facilities. A private car park with thirty-six spaces, allocated disabled spaces, CCTV and two Type 2 (22 kW) Electric Vehicle charging points.
